MOTHER & SON EVENT: DATE CHANGE! We are excited to announce that we are moving this year’s Mother & Son event to the SPRING! We hope this date will be more accommodating and give us the opportunity to be outdoors! More information to come. Moms and sons, we will see you in the SPRING!
STAFF APPRECIATION: Our second Staff Appreciation Lunch is Thursday, October 23. Staff Appreciation Lunch is such a fun way to celebrate and bless the amazing teachers and staff that serve our children every day! This month we are serving tacos and all the fixings. If you are able, please see the SignUp Genius HERE to donate specific food items to help make this an extra special lunch. This is a wonderful opportunity to show our gratitude to the teachers and staff of WCGS. Thank you for your generosity! FOOD DRIVE: OCTOBER 21-23 is the ANNUAL WCGS FOOD DRIVE! Join the WCGS community in collecting non-perishable food items as well as paper products, diapers (baby and adult), personal hygiene products, and pet food. Items will be donated to Wayne Township for distribution. Look for a cart at both the kindergarten and front door during morning drop off. Auxiliary will celebrate the grade that brings in the most items with a donut party on October 28. Contact Michelle at wcgs.fooddrive@gmail.com with any questions.

STAFF FAVORITES: The 2025-2026 Staff Favorites document is now live, with some improvements! You can now search for your staff member, click on their name, and get a one-page printable document with all of their favorites and preferences. We are still working on adding additional staff members over the next few weeks, so please reach out to wcgs.auxiliaryvp@gmail.com if you can’t find your staff member listed.
SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION HOMEROOM BASKETS: As announced at the Fall Fellowship Gatherings, the Scholarship Auction Committee is calling all homerooms to consider working together to create a curated gift basket to donate to our Scholarship Auction coming up on November 14! They are looking to compile a wide variety of themes. Baskets will be bid on to raise money for the scholarship fund. So far, about half of the homerooms have signed up and claimed a theme – thank you! To participate, pick a theme, use this link to sign up, and start gathering items to create something fun and unique. Don’t have time to run to stores? Consider creating a registry to share with the class! Baskets can be dropped off at the front office any time between now and October 31. Reach out to Shannon McDonald with any questions or ideas.
