Veterans Day
We are honored to celebrate Veterans Day on November 11 and are so appreciative of the many who have served for our freedom. This day marks the opportunity to pause and honor those who have sacrificed on behalf of others. On Wednesday at 9 AM, our community will gather for a morning assembly in the gym to ensure our students are able to thank our veterans and be educated on what their service has provided. Parents are also welcome to attend. If you would like to bring your veteran and have not RSVPd, please email Lauren Fortosis. Students are welcome to sit with their honored guests during the program.
We will also have a special time for students to introduce their family member. Mr. Painter helps facilitate this time. You can use the following script as a guide:
Example:
This is my __________.
His/Her name is ___________.
He/She served(s) in the ___________.
Following the assembly, veterans and adult family members are invited to attend a coffee and donuts reception in our new Junior High Atrium. However, all students will need to return to class at that time.
Thank you for being a part of this special day. We pray that our many guests will feel honored and appreciated. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Lauren Fortosis if you have any questions!
NEXT WEEK! Scholarship Auction & Trivia Night – November 13, 6:30 p.m.
We can’t wait to share the auction link this weekend and see a room full of our favorite people next weekend!
ONLINE BIDDING OPENS THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7! Keep an eye on your inbox this weekend for an email with the live auction link!
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN THE ROOM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Our Scholarship Auction is about more than a fun evening, exciting auction items, and friendly competition. It’s about making Christian education possible! Even if you can’t attend in person, you can still join the fun, bid online, and make a meaningful impact. With lots of great items, unique experiences, and services up for grabs, it’s a fun opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done while helping make Christian education accessible to more families! We invite you to give, bid, attend, or share this fun opportunity with someone else.
There is a teeny-tiny bit of room left. If you are still planning to attend, please RSVP today as tables are being finalized.

Cold and Flu Season Guidelines
As we enter the cold and flu season, preventing the spread of illness is critical to keeping everyone healthy and in school. Students with the following symptoms should be kept at home:
- FEVER: An oral temperature of 100.4° F or greater. A student with a fever should remain home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal without the aid of fever-reducing medication.
- VOMITING and DIARRHEA: If experiencing nausea, diarrhea and/or vomiting, students should remain home until symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
- RESPIRATORY INFECTION: If showing signs of an upper respiratory infection (cold symptoms), sore throat, or any other illness serious enough to interfere with the student’s ability to learn or a persistent cough that will be disruptive in class.
