Thanksgiving
Psalm 107:1
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
I am praying for your upcoming Thanksgiving and asking the Lord to guide us toward being a grateful group. Amidst travel, incredible meals, and time away from school, I am asking the Lord to direct our attention to Christ and the incredible gift the Lord has given us in His Son. I hope you enjoy a change of rhythm next week. Please know that our team is grateful for you and so thankful to be in partnership together. Happy Thanksgiving!
Fathers’ Prayer Breakfast
On Saturday, December 6, we will host our Fathers’ Prayer Breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the Commons here at school. Whether you have attended before or this is your first time, we look forward to sharing a meal, hearing a devotional, and praying together as fathers in the WCGS community. It is a rich time and one that I hope you will consider joining. We will respect your time and dismiss by 8:30 a.m. so that you can continue on with your weekend. If you are able to attend on December 6, please RSVP to Lauren Fortosis by Tuesday, December 2, to help with breakfast planning.

Other Important Information:
Class visits to the Book Fair: All K-5 classes will come through the fair during their regular library time through Monday, November 24. When students come to the fair, they will be able to shop at that time if you send them with cash, OR they can make a wish list and shop with you during other open hours. You are, of course, welcome to come sooner than their library day during the before and after-school hours.
Library Book Checkout: The library will be closed for usual activities like book checkout or AR tests from now through Tuesday, November 25. No books are due during the fair. All books checked out before the fair will be due on Monday, December 1, and will be automatically renewed. Students will have an opportunity to check out books during their class visit to the book fair, and the library will be open for checkout and AR tests at the following times: Friday, November 21, 8:30-9:30 a.m. and Monday, November 24, 8:30-9:30 a.m. & 3:00-4:00 p.m. Normal hours will resume after Thanksgiving.
Teacher Wish Lists: Buy a book for your teacher’s classroom library! Teachers will be making wish lists of items that they would like to add to their collections, so be on the lookout for that when you visit the fair.

The STEAM Lab is always accepting LEGO bricks and Magna-tiles for our K-8 students and Junior High Exploratories, LEGO Masters Build Competition. We are looking for any type of LEGOs, LEGO sets, or Magna-tiles that people no longer want. If you are willing to donate, please drop them off in the STEAM Lab, room 708, or drop them off in the office to be delivered to Jacqueline Lauriat. Thank you!
Zero Waste Day Every FRIDAY
Thank you for supporting Zero Waste Day every Friday. Please continue to help your child pack a lunch with reusable containers and avoid plastic bags and other single use items. Students are still encouraged to compost and recycle.
