SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION & TRIVIA NIGHT – November 14, 6:30 p.m.

It’s Auction week! We anticipate a great turnout at this year’s Scholarship Auction on Friday. There is an awesome variety of things to bid on! Thank you to everyone who has donated items, offered sponsorships, contributed to a homeroom basket, or recruited friends to join the fun. There is still limited seating available, so be sure to  R.S.V.P. now! Dinner & Trivia will be in groups of 8. You can reserve a table with friends or come ready to meet new people. Online bidding is now open. There is no charge to attend. We hope you can join us for a vibrant evening to Gather, Give, and Glorify, all for the great cause of making Christ-centered education more available.

VOLUNTEER:

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY: Grandparents’ Day is almost here!

We eagerly anticipate welcoming hundreds of grandparents onto our campus on Tuesday, November 25, from 10am-12:30pm. This is a special day when grandparents will fill our building, enjoy delicious refreshments, view a program designed just for them, and most importantly, spend sweet time in your child’s classroom. Not every student has grandparents who are able to attend, so in that event, we encourage you to reach out to a “grand friend” and invite them to come and spend the day with your child(ren).

We need your help hosting this event, including volunteers who will send in baked goods, park cars as valet drivers, serve food/coffee, welcome guests as they enter and find classrooms, etc. With the new addition, we will need more help than previous years! Please note, classroom teachers/room parents will organize minimal individual classroom help so this sign-up does not include that. SIGN UP to help or contribute to this special day. Thank you in advance for your willingness to volunteer! For questions, please email us HERE or text/phone Carly Aagaard at 630-936-8826 or Kendra Painter at 630-660-8809.

BOOK FAIR: Volunteers Needed! We will need many parent volunteers during all parts of the fair, including setup, pack up, and our Family Night on Thursday, Nov. 20. Pizza will be provided for dinner on Monday, Nov. 17 for those who come to help distribute boxes from the pallets. If you are able to volunteer, please sign up HERE. Volunteers will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Each volunteer slot lists any classes that will be coming during that time so that you can choose times when your child(ren) will be there.

CHRISTMAS SALE: Join us for setup on December 4 and for the beloved sale on December 5! Even if you only have 30 minutes, please consider helping out to make this fun and festive event possible. Click HERE to see our updated volunteer and donation opportunities! We are still in need of baby food jar donations, if you have some that you’re willing to donate please bring them to the office labeled: “Lindsay Earley”.

Elementary School Parents please be aware of the following:

  • Children are welcome to purchase for one person or several people but please keep in mind they have 20 minutes total to shop.
  • Younger grades will have assistance from a shopping buddy to help them select gifts during their classroom’s dedicated shopping time.
  • The price range is $2 to $8. Please send small bills in an envelope with your child. We are able to make change but appreciate $1 and $5 bills.
  • This list should be used to indicate who they will be shopping for, how much they wish to spend and a recommended gift category.
  • Please remember to send a shopping bag with handles. Please label the bag with your child’s name and homeroom.

Jr High Parents:
In place of the Children’s Christmas Sale, Jr. High students are invited to attend the 2nd annual Jr. High Christmas Social! Passes are now available for purchase and include a photo booth photo, snacks, 3 DIY crafts that can be given as gifts, karaoke, and a really good time. We are asking that students purchase passes in advance, to help with inventory planning. Snack items will be offered a la carte for anyone that would like to only karaoke and snack. To purchase a pass please Venmo $10 to the WCGS auxiliary noting your students name. If you’re unable to Venmo and would like to buy a pass, please email lindsayjearley@gmail.com.

HIGHLIGHTS & REMINDERS:

LOST AND FOUND: Last Call for the Lost and Found items on display in the front hallway. Unclaimed items will be donated by the end of the week. Please come in and take a look! Thank you for your help!
