The 2025-26 School Year
Please join me in praising the Lord for his provision and care throughout this school year. As we conclude the year, I am grateful for the WCGS community and the way in which the Lord has worked. As you move into these summer days, I am praying that the Lord will provide brilliant moments for deep discipleship conversations as a family. It is my hope that you are able to open up God’s Word as a family and discuss how remarkable our God is.
I want to thank our faculty and staff for the way they approach their craft. I am also praying for a restful summer for our team prior to the launch of the 2026-27 school year. As we graduated 75 students this past Monday night, it was evident that the people of WCGS have a tremendous impact on the next generation. Please join me in praying for our faculty and staff throughout the summer.
We are grateful for the school year and all that God has done.

Summer Reading Program (Incoming Grades 1-6)
We invite all students entering grades 1-6 to participate in our summer reading program! Paper copies of the reading logs have been sent home with students, and they will be available on the school website throughout the summer. Please help your children keep their reading skills fresh by monitoring their reading over the summer. Note that this program is REQUIRED for incoming 6th grade students and will count for a grade during 1st quarter, but they will receive all of the same rewards for doing the program. Students who complete the program will receive their rewards during our Summer Reading Celebration in the fall. Summer reading suggestions for grades 1-6 can be found here. See below for all the Summer Reading Logs by grade level:
Summer Reading Assignment (Incoming Grades 7-8)
All students entering grades 7 and 8 will need to complete the Summer Reading Challenge and turn in their reading log to Mrs. Messer when they return to school in August. Students will be receiving paper copies of the Challenge/Reading Log and Reading List from Mrs. Messer. Students should come back to school in August ready for an assignment on one of the books they have read over the summer.
Notable Notes

You’re Invited to Write a Book this Summer!
WCGS is partnering with BriBooks to provide an opportunity for students of any grade K-8 to engage in the Summer Book Writing Festival. WCGS is registered and all it takes is for parents to sign-up their child through the link below. Each student writes at their own pace and publishes their own ISBN-backed book on Amazon. There is no cost and nothing more is needed from you or WCGS. This is an opportunity to build creativity, writing confidence, and communication skills that will stick with a child long after summer ends! Click this link to see what it actually looks like when a student’s book, through BriBooks, gets displayed at a Book Festival. Students all over the nation are becoming published authors. New Jersey fifth grader Nathan published his first book last summer. Nathan’s book is titled, My Yellowstone Adventure, and now carries an official ISBN and is listed on Amazon — something he and his family will remember for the rest of their lives! Your child has stories, ideas, and imagination inside them. Sometimes, they just need an opportunity to get their story out! This summer, students at Wheaton Christian Grammar School can write and publish their own real books! Click this link to launch your child as a published author!
Looking for Summer Tutoring Options?
Parents, if you are considering a tutor for your child for skill and concept remediation, review, or enrichment, we have a list of WCGS teachers who are available for tutoring during the summer months. Please reach out to Mandy Jasper, 6-8 Director of Student Services & School Social Worker and she can provide you with resources. Tutoring arrangements are independently made between the parent and the tutor.
