If you are able to attend on March 14, please RSVP to Lauren Fortosis. We hope many of you will be able to join us!

Notable Notes

Spring Musical Program Advertising

If you or someone you know would like to advertise your business in our upcoming spring musical Playbill for The Wizard of Oz, here is your opportunity! We expect the three shows to be sold out with over 1200 people in attendance!! Our goal is to raise $3500 through advertising in our Playbill and hosting concession tables at intermission at each performance. Please see the Business Ad Rates for more information.

The deadline for placing ads and/or hosting a concession table is Friday, February 27. If you would like to place a business ad, please email your ad to wcgsmusicalmarketing@gmail.com and bring your payment to the office to the attention of Lauren Fortosis by February 27. If you have any questions, please contact Denise Beyerle at 847.254.2485.

Your Help is Needed!

On Saturday, February 21, our school will host the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo and Ensemble Contest. This event provides students with a valuable opportunity to perform either as a soloist or in an ensemble for an adjudicated rating.

To accommodate this large event, we will be utilizing most of our school building and will need approximately 100 volunteers. Volunteer roles include Set-Up Crew (Friday), Welcome Table Hosts, Contest Room Monitors, Homeroom Monitors, Contest Office Workers (full day), Hospitality Volunteers, Medal Distribution Workers, Floaters, Lunchroom/Concessions Workers, Restoration Crew, and Student Runners. If you are willing to serve in any of these capacities, please sign up on the Sign-Up Genius Page. Willing to help wherever needed, there is a space for that as well. If you have any questions about any volunteer roles, please reach out to Beth Wright.

Ladies’ Salad Social

We would be delighted for all WCGS ladies to join us for an unforgettable evening filled with worship, fellowship, salads, and desserts at this year’s Ladies’ Salad Social. Our theme for this year’s event is, Jesus Christ: Our Anchor, from Hebrews 6:19. We will hear from our speaker, Angelica Perry, a current WCGS parent. She has a passion for sharing God’s Word with women, and we look forward to hearing from her as she encourages us to lean on our sure and steadfast anchor. Moms, grandmas, faculty, and staff are all welcome! Please feel free to invite a friend or simply come to enjoy an evening with other women within our WCGS community. Register now for this beloved annual event. Contact Amy Sherrard at 630-524-8428 or wcgs.auxiliaryvp@gmail.com with any questions!
