SPARTAN SOCIAL: We are SO excited for the Spartan Social THIS FRIDAY: the only Auxiliary event for all WCGS families! Please consider signing up to help us during one of the biggest and best events of the year! Activities include: cake walk, bounce house obstacle courses, face stickers, Bozo Buckets, volleyball, 9 square, and lawn games. Sign up HERE!
The beloved Cake Walk needs your help! PLEASE consider donating baked goods or store bought cookies, cupcakes, and/or other sweet treats that can be used for this activity! Ideally, please provide 6 or so individual packaged goodies (with 4-6 items in each pack). Also consider gluten, nut, or daily free items and please note in the comments on the sign up and label the items accordingly when you drop them off. Donations will be collected on Wednesday 9/3 and Thursday 9/4 before school from 8:30-9:00 a.m. at Door 1. Thank you in advance for supporting this favorite activity! Sign up HERE!
HOT LUNCH: Help needed! We are in need of additional volunteers for Wednesday Hot Lunch days! It’s an amazing simple way to serve the school and our amazing kiddos. You’ll meet other parents (and see your kids and all their friends). You would only serve about once per month – less than 2 hours each time. Please email wcgs.hotlunch3@gmail.com and let us know which group you would like to be added to. We would appreciate about 5 more volunteers for each group.
Group B: 9/17, 10/15, 11/12, 12/17, 1/28, 2/25, 3/25, 4/30 (Thursday), 5/27
Group C: 9/24, 10/22, 11/19, 1/7, 2/4, 3/4, 4/8, 5/6
SUMMER READING CELEBRATION: The Library Events Committee is in need of parent volunteers to help this week with decorating for the celebration on the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, from 1:00-3:25 p.m., or help at the event on Friday, September 5. We will need several parent helpers on both days. Please sign up HERE if you are available.

SPARTAN SOCIAL: Join us after school, this Friday, for a fun, family event from 3:30-6:00 p.m. on the WCGS Field! Bounce houses, cake walk, games, food, and fun for all! NEW this year: Food Trucks! Mama and Coco Taco Truck and Kona Ice! Cash and card accepted, so please come prepared! Also, bring a blanket or lawn chairs for your family to sit and enjoy your picnic dinner together. WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Ready for Real Community? Join the WCGS Women’s Bible Study! Tired of surface-level connections? We are too. The WCGS Women’s Bible Study is where you’ll find real friendships, deep conversations, and a welcoming space to grow in your faith. This fall, we’re diving into the powerful book of Romans using Courtney Doctor’s study, “In View of God’s Mercies.”
But first, let’s get to know each other!
WBS DROP-IN SOCIAL: When: Wednesday, September 3, 9:15-11:30 a.m. Where: The home of Alisha Rylander (303 Marion Ave., Glen Ellyn)
This is a casual, no-pressure event for all women interested in learning more. Come grab a coffee and meet some of the women who make our group so special.
