You’re Invited:
FIRST DAY PARENT WELCOME: Join us on Thursday, August 21, from 8:50 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the WCGS Playground Blacktop for the First Day Parent Welcome! You’re not going to want to miss this opportunity to learn more about all of our Auxiliary Committees, (we have more than 21 this year!) and plug into the WCGS community by signing up to volunteer! WCGS spirit wear and book covers for your student’s textbooks will be available for purchase, and coffee and donuts will be served. All school families (including siblings!) are encouraged to attend. It’s truly one of our favorite events of the year because it’s a great way to inspire new friendships and see what volunteer opportunities are available for the year. Questions? THE WCGS AUXILIARY has been a tradition at Wheaton Christian Grammar School for more than 50 years. Our purpose is to “serve God by helping to meet the spiritual, social, and practical needs of the school and its families.” Our many volunteers, in partnership with the staff and faculty, bring to life the spirit of the school as they give their time and energy graciously with servant’s hearts. All school parents are welcome to be part of the Auxiliary, and the First Day Parent Welcome is a great opportunity to find your place to volunteer!

FROZEN TREATS ON THE PLAYGROUND: Join us (students and siblings) right after school on the WCGS blacktop for a FREE sweet frozen treat on Friday, August 22. Mark your calendars!
SPARTAN SOCIAL: Save the date! Join us for a fun, family event on Friday, September 5, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. on the WCGS Field! More details to come, but please consider stopping by the Special Event Committee table at the First Day Parent Welcome to volunteer to help at this event or donate baked goods for the beloved Cake Walk.
PRAYER WALK: Moms is Prayer is hosting our annual Prayer Walk on Monday morning, August 18, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. This is a special time to gather, break up into small groups and pray over the 2025-2026 school year. We will provide a prayer guide to use as we walk up and down the halls of WCGS. We are excited for the opportunity to bless our school community through prayer and would love for you to join us!! ALL Moms are invited to come!
We will meet at the main entrance, door #1.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: The Women’s Bible Study is a welcoming place where you will have the opportunity to get to know a small group of women who will invite you into their lives, build lasting friendships through fellowship, study God’s Word, and pray together. This Fall the Women’s Bible Study is excited to walk through the book of Romans! We will use “In View of God’s Mercies” by Courtney Doctor. Stop by our table at the First Day Parent Welcome to meet us, ask any questions, and sign up.
WBS DROP-IN SOCIAL: Join us on September 3, 9:15-11:15 a.m. for a social. Location: TBD. This is open to all women interested in WBS.

Highlights and Reminders:
FIRST QUARTER ORDERING INFORMATION: As we kick off the school year, the Auxiliary is excited to offer Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mike’s, and Barone’s Pizza to our students! You will have an opportunity to order 1st Quarter hot lunch for your children beginning Thursday, August 21, and ending Thursday, August 28, at midnight. The menu items you select during our first ordering window will remain the same for the entire 1st Quarter. All lunch orders are placed using our EZ School App platform, but please hold off on logging into the system until the ordering window is open on Thursday, 8/21. This will allow us adequate time to ensure all student and parent information is properly loaded into the system. You will also have the opportunity to order Popcorn and Sunset Slush for the year as well as make donations toward the Junior High Special Lunches, the Staff Appreciation Fund, and the Teacher Blessing Fund. Details regarding all these opportunities can be found in the “Quick Links” portion at the top of this page.
NEW FAMILY WELCOME COMMITTEE: We would like to welcome all of our new families to our Wheaton Christian Grammar School family! We are so glad you are here! Our committee strives to help our new families and students feel welcome and at ease as they make the transition of being at a new school. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything because we are here to help! WCGS SPIRIT WEAR: The WCGS Spirit Wear committee has stocked up and will be selling gear at both the WCGS Open House on Wednesday, August 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. AND at the First Day Parent Welcome on Thursday, August 21, from 8:50-10:00 a.m. Don’t forget, students can wear spirit wear every day of the school year, so it’s a great time to stock up! There will be a large variety of items for sale this year. Purchasing spirit wear is a great way to help promote our school and raise funds for the WCGS Auxiliary. The money raised is used to help support the fun events we do throughout the year. We will be able to accept cash, check, or Venmo at our sales, so come ready to shop!
