Parent Series Prayer and Worship Event
This year, we are pleased to announce that the Parent Series will focus on uniting our school community through intentional evenings of prayer, worship, and fellowship. These gatherings are designed to provide parents with an opportunity to connect with one another, pray together, and encourage each other as we raise our children to love and follow the Lord.
Please plan to join us and mark your calendar for our first Parent Series event on Wednesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m. Register here if you plan to attend. **Please denote on the registration if you are in need of childcare for your WCGS student(s). Childcare is limited.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Mandy Jasper, School Social Worker.

You’re Invited! Scholarship Auction & Trivia Night – November 13, 6:30 p.m.
Your invitation should have arrived! Trying to determine if you’d like to attend? Let’s answer a few questions to help you decide:
Q: Is the Scholarship Auction just a fancy event for a certain type of crowd?
A: Not at all.
This event is for everyone in our community whether you’re bidding or just coming to enjoy the night. The goal isn’t just fundraising; it’s fellowship, fun, and bringing glory to God. Every guest matters and your presence is a huge encouragement to our community.
Q: What if I can’t bid on anything – should I still come?
A: Yes! Please do.
There’s no pressure to buy or bid. Come enjoy the evening, cheer others on, and be part of what God is doing at WCGS.
Q: Can I bring friends or family even if they don’t attend WCGS?
A: Yes! The more, the merrier.
This will be a great night to invite friends to let them experience the joy and mission of WCGS.
Q: What’s the purpose of the auction?
A: To celebrate God’s faithfulness to WCGS and support students and families.
Every dollar raised helps make Christ-centered education accessible for more families. But even more than that, it’s a night to thank God, build community, and have some fun together!
Q: What if I’m terrible at Trivia?
A: You might surprise yourself!
And if you don’t know the answer, there’s always your team to help. Just bring your best guesses and have some fun.
Q: Do I have to dress up?
A: Just a little bit.
This year’s theme is “Flannel Formal”. Dress is semi-formal. Simply add a plaid or flannel accent to your favorite dressed-up look.
Book that babysitter! This night is for YOU! RSVP soon to guarantee a spot.

K-5 Morning Drop-Off
As a reminder, parents who have students in both grades K-5 and 6-8 and plan to drop off their grade 6-8 students at 8:25 a.m. may also drop their K-5 students off at school at 8:25 a.m. When the weather is nice, we will be utilizing the playground as the drop-off location for these K-5 students, and supervision will be provided by WCGS staff. When the weather is poor, students will enter the building at Door 1 (front door) and be supervised indoors by WCGS staff. When the bell rings at 8:40 a.m., these K-5 students will transition to their classrooms. If families arrive on campus after 8:40 a.m., parents may drop their K-5 students off at the designated entrances, as these crosswalks and doors will have staff members positioned there until 8:50 a.m. We hope the new system this year has been beneficial to your family and made the drop-off and pick-up process more efficient and safe!
Mid-Trimester Progress Reports
Tomorrow marks the midpoint of our 1st trimester of the 2026-2027 school year. A number of wonderful activities have taken place both inside and outside this building. There is also a lot of great learning taking place inside our classrooms! All homeroom teachers in grades 1-8 will be sending mid-trimester reports to our families Friday evening. These reports are designed to give you a snapshot of some of the work that your child has accomplished thus far. Rather than simply looking at the overall grade, please review the progress that your child has made. There are still many weeks before our first trimester concludes. We provide these progress reports as a way to keep you informed and maintain clear communication between the school and home. Thank you for your continued partnership in the education of your child!
NWEA MAP Growth Student Progress Reports
Your child will be bringing home their MAP Growth Student Progress Report in a white envelope addressed to parents tomorrow. Please be looking for this information. There will be a letter inside the envelope explaining more about the data, so please take time to read it prior to reviewing the results. We felt it was important to give you the MAP Growth test results on the same day as mid-trimester student progress reports so you learn more about your child as a learner and the academic progress he/she has made since the start of school. If you have questions about your child’s MAP Growth report, please contact Sue Macaluso, Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Notable Notes
School Directory
While the most current place to find the family directory information is always through the Family Portal (since home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses change throughout the year), we have put together a school directory for your family’s use. This directory includes a staff directory, family directory, class lists, and Auxiliary information. We hope it is useful for your family. School Directory
