Since 1987, Jr. High students have counted the spring musical as one of the highlights of their year! Students eagerly anticipate the revealing of the Spring Musical, and once auditions are held, rehearsals begin and students prepare for their Broadway production on our theatre stage.
We have dedicated classrooms with ample art equipment, abundant natural light, pottery wheels, a kiln, and a digital arts studio enhance the Visual Arts learning experience. Our students produce approximately 5,000 pieces of art each year, many of which are displayed in our campus corridors on a rotating basis throughout the school year. Representative work is entered in the annual ACSI Regional Arts Festival where our students’ art is displayed among 600 exemplary creations from 15 ACSI schools in our region.
Music is recognized as a valuable asset to a student’s development at WCGS. We give each student the opportunity to develop his/her musical abilities to their fullest. Our school offers a number of options beginning in 4th grade to help students in their musical development. Students can enjoy Beginning Band, Beginning Strings, Cadet Band, Cadet Orchestra, Concert Band, Concert Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, 6th Grade Choir, and Concert Choir.
Every summer, Wheaton Christian Grammar School hosts a weeklong Fine Arts Camp with 65 students who perform drama and dance, and create art projects based on the year’s theme. The week concludes with a Variety and Art show and is available to incoming 2nd-8th grade students.
