WCGS student gave the Forecast on WGN
On Friday mornings at WGN, Meteorologist Mike Janssen is commonly joined by a local student to help give the forecast with him as part of their WeatherBug Program. This is an especially fun opportunity for a student in 3rd grade at WCGS, as the 3rd grade curriculum at Wheaton Christian has two units that educate students on weather.

Last week, Gus Iseman, a third grader at WCGS, woke up early on Friday morning and traveled into downtown Chicago with his family to experience this tremendous opportunity. Visiting WGN was a great real-life application of the weather units he’d studied in the months prior!

After learning how to share the forecast on live television, he presented the forecast during the 6 o’clock hour. Part of their forecast includes giving the current conditions from the WeatherBug station for their school. Enjoy watching his interview and forecasting skills in the video linked above!
