Two WCGS Students Move on to Regional Spelling Bee Competition

Thirteen WCGS students competed today at the ACSI Spelling Bee at Trinity Oaks Christian School in Cary, IL. After competing all morning, six out of the thirteen WCGS students moved on to the afternoon competition. Mrs. Macaluso, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Wheaton Christian Grammar School, commended all the students on how well-poised they were under the competition.

In the afternoon, WCGS students represented 6 out of the 16 competitors from grades 5-8. Three WCGS students finished in the top-6 with two moving on to the regional competition. Ashley Reeder (4th) and Samantha DeCastro (2nd) will move on to the regionals. Caroline Blaum finished runner-up in 6th.

We are proud of how our students represented God and Wheaton Christian Grammar School so well throughout the day! Congratulations to Samantha and Ashley on their accomplishments.
