MONDAY LUNCH VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED: Volunteer opportunities are still available to make a difference at our WCGS hot lunch service. Volunteers help with setting up, serving, and cleaning up. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve the school, meet other parents, hug your kids, and get to know the wonderful WCGS student body. If you would like to serve in this way, please email the Monday Hot Lunch Chairs below to learn more about this opportunity and be added to the volunteer list! There are four weeks to choose from, and the commitment is as little as once a month – or as many weeks as you would like!

HIGHLIGHTS AND REMINDERS​

NEW LOST AND FOUND PROCESS: With a new school year comes new ideas and processes. This year, the Lost and Found will be handled a little differently to avoid accumulating the large amounts of clothing we held onto last year.​

• Monthly Reminders: A reminder will be sent in the auxiliary email during the 3rd week of each month prompting you to check for missing items.
• Monthly Donations: All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of each month. We will no longer be holding onto items long-term.
• Labeled Items: If your child’s name is written on an item, we will bring it to the front office. The office will then send a note or make a quick call to notify you. Please note that it will be the student’s responsibility to retrieve the item from the front office.
• New Location: There is a new table for junior high items only. This is located inside the new junior high entrance on the wall to the right before you walk into the hallway connecting it to the old building. (The students frequently pass this location to and from classes.)

It brings us joy to see everyone’s belongings returned to their rightful owners, so please come in and check the Lost and Found if your child is missing something! Thank you so much for your support. BOX TOPS: Have you downloaded the Box Top for Education (BTFE) App yet? Download the app today and start earning money for the school. You can also connect your Walmart account to your Box Tops account and earn money for the school, with very little effort. In your BTFE App, click on ‘Connected Accounts’ and follow the prompts for Walmart. Whenever you go to Walmart or do a pick-up order (using that same saved payment method), your Box Top money will automatically be applied to your account. It’s so easy to do–no more scanning (for Walmart only). We have a goal of $500, and we have earned $78.20 this school year. Keep up the good work!
