STAFF APPRECIATION: Happy fall, y’all! Each month, the Staff Appreciation Committee has the privilege of blessing our amazing faculty and staff with lunch. While the main dish is catered, we rely on the generous donations of school families to supplement these items. It can often be as simple as a bag of cheese or some lettuce… every little bit helps!
Our next opportunity to encourage and bless our staff with a fantastic lunch of Steamboat BBQ Tacos is on Thursday, October 22. If you are able, please use this link to donate specific food items to help make this an extra special lunch. Thank you for your generosity! BOOK FAIR: The BOOK FAIR is coming and we need YOU! Opportunities to help include set-up on November 16 and 17 before the sale begins, as well as helping with sales and book selection before, during, and after school on November 18, 19, 20, and 23. There will also be volunteers needed at our WCGS Family Night on Thursday, November 20, and Grandparents’ Day on Tuesday, November 24. If you are able to volunteer, please sign-up HERE. Classes will be coming during their normal library time which is listed in the sign up. Additional information for KE, 3rd and junior high will be added to the SignUp Genius as it is confirmed with teachers. HIGHLIGHTS AND REMINDERS
FOOD DRIVE: OCTOBER 20-22 is the ANNUAL WCGS FOOD DRIVE! Join the WCGS community in collecting non-perishable food items as well as paper products, diapers (baby and adult), personal hygiene products, and pet food. Click HERE for a list. Items will be donated to the Peoples Resource Center in Wheaton and Wayne Township in Carol Stream for distribution. Look for a cart at both the kindergarten and front door during morning drop off. The Auxiliary will celebrate the grade that brings in the most items with a donut party on October 26! Contact Michelle Norman with any questions.

You can now search for your staff member, click on their name, and get a one-page printable document with all their favorites and preferences.
