THANK YOU to all the parents that joined us last Thursday for the 2026 First Day Parent Welcome! It was wonderful to start the school year together! BOOK COVERS: If you would like to purchase WCGS book covers and were not able to pick them up at the First Day Parent Welcome, they are available for $1.00 each in the main office (cash only please).
Join Us:
SPARTAN SOCIAL: Join us for a fun, family event on Friday, September 11, after school on the WCGS Field! There will be fun for all ages: bounce house obstacle courses, cake walks, games, and multiple food truck options! This is an awesome opportunity to kick-off the school year together as a community! Come prepared with cash or card for the food trucks and blankets or lawn chairs for your family to enjoy a picnic together!
To make this event happen, we need YOUR help! We are looking for volunteers to provide baked goods for the Cake Walk and we are also looking for volunteers to help supervise during the event. SOS!!! HELP KEEP WEDNESDAY PIZZA LUNCH GOING- LUNCH CHAIR NEEDED!
Wednesday Pizza Lunch is in jeopardy! Without a chair or team of chairs leading we will not be able to continue pizza lunch at WCGS on Wednesdays. The Wednesday Hot Lunch Chair lead for our weekly Barone’s Pizza lunch is a meaningful way to serve the school in a hands-on way. The lunch chair coordinates the weekly pizza orders, organizes and communicates with volunteers, and oversees lunch service from set-up through clean-up, with a team of volunteer support. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to see your kids during the school day while building relationships with WCGS parents, students, and staff each week. The Wednesday hot lunch chair is a vital role that is essential to keeping this much-loved WCGS tradition going, and we are URGENTLY seeking someone willing to step in and lead as an individual or team. LUNCH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS:
Monday and Wednesday lunches need YOU! Volunteer opportunities are still available to make a difference at our WCGS lunch service. Volunteers help with setting up, serving, and cleaning up. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve the school, meet other parents, hug your kids, and get to know the wonderful WCGS student body. If you missed the chance to sign up at the First Day Welcome and would like to serve in this way, please email the lunch chairs below to learn more about this opportunity and be added to the volunteer list! There are four weeks to choose from, and the commitment is as little as once a month – or as many weeks as you would like!

Volunteers needed for the Summer Reading Celebration
We are excited to celebrate all of the reading that students did over the summer! If you can help with setup or supervising this event, please e-mail Mrs. Brown (jbrown@wheatonchristian.org). Set-up will happen in the library on Thursday, September 3, from 1:00-3:25 p.m. The reading celebration will take place the morning of Friday, September 4. We need help with the 6th grade party from 8:20-9:00 a.m. All other grade levels will be celebrated between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. that day. We will send you the specific time for your child’s grade level when those are finalized. You are welcome to come only for that grade level or stay for more of the morning. If you plan to help with this event, please complete the criminal background check form on FACTS as soon as possible. If you have submitted this form before, you do not need to do it again. Please let Mrs. Brown know what grade level(s) you would like to help with. Thank you!

THE WCGS AUXILIARY has been a tradition at Wheaton Christian Grammar School for more than 50 years. Our purpose is to “serve God by helping to meet the spiritual, social, and practical needs of the school and its families.” Our many volunteers, in partnership with the staff and faculty, bring to life the spirit of the school, as they give their time and energy graciously with servant hearts. Highlights and Reminders:
FIRST TRIMESTER ORDERING INFORMATION: The Auxiliary is delighted to offer Chick-fil-A/Culver’s on Mondays, Jersey Mike’s/Augustino’s on Tuesdays, and Barone’s Pizza on Wednesdays! You will have an opportunity to order 1st Trimester hot lunch for your children beginning Thursday, August 20, and ending this Thursday, August 27. Click here to order and Scroll to the first week of October for ordering options.
The menu items you select during our first ordering window will remain the same for the entire 1st Trimester. You will have the opportunity to change your order at the beginning of each trimester. All lunch orders are placed using our EZ School App platform. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to order Popcorn and Sunset Slush for the year – so be on the lookout for those options as you place your lunch orders.
Please note: This is the time to make donations for the year for the Junior High Special Lunches, the Staff Appreciation Fund, and the Teacher Blessing Fund. (Scroll to the Second week in October for the Jr. High Lunches and Staff Appreciation).

Don’t forget, students can wear spirit wear every day of the school year, so it’s a great time to stock up! Purchasing spirit wear is a great way to help promote our school and raise funds for the WCGS Auxiliary. The money raised is used to help support the many exciting events we do throughout the year.
