Get to Know our New Faculty for the 2021-22 School Year

We are praising the Lord for His provision evidenced by each of these teachers and their passion to join WCGS in educating, training, and nurturing children for godliness and excellence. This week, our new faculty members participated in New Teacher Orientation. They are wonderful additions to our team and we are excited to introduce them to you!

Abby Jaderholm (Olson): Full-day Kindergarten

With our high enrollment for kindergarten next year, we have added an additional section of full-day kindergarten. Abby Jaderholm, soon-to-be Abby Olson in July, has been hired to teach this additional section. Abby is a graduate of Taylor University and has been teaching kindergarten for the past 5 years in Indiana. Prior to that, she taught 5th grade for 2 years and was an aide in kindergarten for 2 years. Abby desires for each of her students to become life-long learners and believes that the first step to achieving this goal is by making sure students feel loved and valued by their teachers. We are excited to welcome her to our Kindergarten team!

Fun Fact: Abby is getting married this summer in Lake Geneva, WI to a WCGS grad!

Lori Bode: Full-day Kindergarten Aide

Lori Bode has been hired to be the full-day kindergarten aide alongside Abby Jaderholm. Lori is a graduate of WCGS and served this past year as an aide for grades 2-4 here. Prior to that, she was on campus often as a school mom (Jackson, rising 2nd grader, and Max, rising 3rd grader) and also taught kindergarten at WCGS for several years prior to staying home with her boys. We are excited to have Lori back in a Kindergarten classroom!

Lindsey Anderson (Feyerer): 1st Grade

Lindsey Anderson is an extra familiar face here at WCGS! Not only did she attend Wheaton Christian Grammar School from Kindergarten – 8th Grade (‘13), she also student taught in 1st grade in the fall of 2021. Miss Anderson will be Mrs. Feyerer to her students next year as she will be getting married this June. Lindsey is a recent graduate of Wheaton College and looks forward to facilitating Christ-centered conversations in her classroom to draw connections between the content and the person of Jesus.

Fun Fact: Lindsey loves everything about winter!

Maddy Burdett: 2nd Grade

We are excited to welcome Maddy Burdett back to WCGS as a 2nd grade teacher! Maddy attended Wheaton Christian Grammar School from Kindergarten – 8th grade (‘13) and is excited to pour into students the same way she was poured into during her time here. Maddy is a recent graduate of Wheaton College and desires to provide her students with engaging instruction, proper scaffolding and support, and a classroom environment that is calm and comfortable but also filled with joy, rich conversations, and lots of opportunities for celebration. We can’t wait for Maddy to join the 2nd grade team!

Fun Fact: When Maddy was in 2nd grade at WCGS, she loved writing stories!

Brittany Schwarzkopf: 2nd Grade

Brittany comes with 4 years of elementary teaching experience at Downers Grove Christian School and has a heart for the Lord and shepherding children. Brittany is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene (‘17) and values building strong relationships with her students and working with them one-on-one to build their skills in communication, critical thinking, questioning, and formulating complete responses. Brittany will be a wonderful addition to 2nd grade here at WCGS.

Fun Fact: Brittany’s Reading Instruction Professor at Olivet Nazarene University introduced Brittany to her son, and later became her Mother-In-Law!

Susan Heidelman: 3rd Grade

Susan Heidelman will be teaching at WCGS in a full-time role next year as an elementary teacher! Mrs. Heidelman will be joining our 3rd grade team, transitioning from her role here as an 8th grade English and History Teacher. Prior to coming to WCGS, she taught at the elementary level, and we are confident that she will be a tremendous asset to 3rd grade.

Maddie English: 4th Grade

Maddie is another familiar face to our community as she began attending WCGS in Kindergarten and graduated in 2013. She recently graduated from Wheaton College and is thrilled to be coming back to teach at the school that invested in her life for so many years. Maddie aspires to help students step into their God-given gifts in order to develop into the person God created them to be, and we trust she will do just that as she joins the 4th grade team in the upcoming school year.

Fun Fact: Maddie played on the Women’s Golf Team at Wheaton College all four years!

Claire Dibble: 5th Grade

Claire Dibble will be teaching 5th grade next year, alongside Josie Garrett and Marybeth Sauter. Claire recently graduated from Wheaton College with her B.A. in Elementary Education, and endorsements in French and Middle School Math. She has a heart for mentoring students and looks forward to the opportunities she will have in the classroom to integrate her faith with teaching and invest in students’ personal, academic, and spiritual growth.

Fun Fact: Claire is from Colorado and recently hiked the tallest mountain in Colorado!

Michelle Clousing: 6th/7th Spanish & Aide

We are grateful that Michelle Clousing will be joining our team next year as the 6th/7th Grade Spanish Teacher and Elementary Aide. Michelle is excited to share her passion for Spanish and language learning with the students at WCGS. She loves the partnership between the teachers and the parents, and the shared mission to pour into our students and the family structure. With experience in both tutoring and teaching Spanish at Wheaton North and Wheaton Warrenville South, Michelle will be adding strength and experience to our Spanish Department!

Fun Fact: Michelle met her husband (WCGS alumni) when they were 14 years old. They were friends for 8 years before dating, and her mom was also his Spanish teacher.

Please join us in thanking the Lord for His provision as we welcome such valuable additions to our 2021-2022 faculty. Pray for their preparation for and transition into their new roles and for the many ways God will use them in the lives of students and in this community as a whole. We can’t wait for you to meet them in-person this August!
