An Important Update from Wheaton Christian Grammar School on COVID-19

The health and safety of our students, your children, are our number one priority. Based on the ever-changing situation surrounding the novel Coronavirus in Illinois and recommendations from public health officials, WCGS is making the difficult decision to close its building to students the weeks of March 16 – 20 and March 23 – 27. In addition, all activities and events at the building are cancelled through spring break, March 30 – April 3. 

As of today, we do not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our school community. However, we believe this action is prudent and wise.

We are in the process of finalizing an off-campus e-learning plan that will allow students to continue learning during this time. Off-campus e-learning for students will begin on Tuesday, March 17. This means students will be learning off-campus the next two weeks in an effort to avoid having to make up these days at the end of the school year. With this in mind, students will be taking all learning materials home with them today. More information about off-campus e-learning plans will be shared with all families by the end of Monday, March 16. As a school, we want to provide the best learning experience despite not being in the classroom.

If your family does not have access to an electronic device or internet, then we would ask that you reach out ASAP to our IT Department (jjones@wheatonchristian.org; (630) 668-1385 ext. 288), and our team will be happy to assist in helping you gain access.

We are grateful for your partnership during these unusual circumstances and are continuing to trust the Lord and His plans. We have already seen multiple God-sightings during these difficult weeks. We are thankful for all of you and will work diligently to keep you updated.
