Annual Children’s Christmas Sale Tomorrow!

Our greatly anticipated Children’s Christmas Sale takes place tomorrow! As referenced in the Auxiliary Announcements, the shop will give students the opportunity to do their own Christmas shopping for family members during the school day. Most gifts are $2-$8. There will be a variety of choices for dads, moms, siblings, grandparents – even pets! Many items are hand-crafted throughout the year by parent volunteers. Please remember to send the following with your child:

  • An envelope with money and wish list enclosed. Label the envelope with your child’s name and homeroom. You may also include a Christmas shopping list to help your child remember for whom he/she is shopping and things each person might like. (Please send small bills in an envelope with your child. We can make change but appreciate $1 and $5 bills.)
  • A sturdy shopping bag with handles. Please label the bag with your child’s name and homeroom.

The Children’s Christmas Sale is not only a wonderful opportunity for the children to buy their own special gifts for their loved ones, but profits from the sale are used to bless the WCGS non-homeroom staff with Christmas gifts. Thank you for your support!

Library News

Library Shelvers Needed

The library is in need of weekly shelving help starting as soon as possible. You can pick the day and time, and it could just be for an hour or two after drop-off or before pick-up. Many books will be returned right after Thanksgiving, so we could use help right away if you are available. Please email Mrs. Brown if you are interested.

Book Fair Recap

Thank you SO much to everyone who helped with the Book Fair and Family Night in any way and all of those who attended or shopped! The Book Fair was a record-breaking success, with over $16,000 in sales. Our school receives 20-40% of that in a combination of books and cash. This helps our library not only with acquiring new books, but also with reading programs and digital resources that are available. Thank you again, and happy reading!
