Missions 2024

As we move through Missions Weeks, I would invite our entire community to be praying for our students to better understand the Gospel and the responsibility we have as Christ followers to share the message of Christ.  God has equipped us with everything that we need to accomplish this task! Our theme, Mission Possible,  is challenging our students to look at their local communities and the whole world as an opportunity to share the love of Christ. Chapels, visiting speakers, service projects, prayer initiatives, and plenty more are all a part of this two-week experience. I am grateful for the investment our faculty and staff make throughout these days and I know they appreciate the opportunity they have to engage with students on this important topic.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and

teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely,

I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

See you on Tuesday!

What is Your Child’s Capacity for Deep Thinking?  Are There Ways to Prepare Children to Grow in their Capacity as Efficacious Thinkers? Join us Tuesday, March 12, from 6:30-7:45 p.m., in the Library, for the conversation on the Habits of Mind for critical thinking.  It will be a time of equipping parents to learn how to cultivate 16 habits with their children that not only help them develop knowledge, but also know how to apply knowledge, to navigate and thrive in life.  Mrs. Mandy Jasper, WCGS School Social Worker, along with Mrs. Sue Macaluso, WCGS Director of Curriculum & Instruction, are excited to lead this workshop, and partner with parents.  Secure your seat by registering here.

Spotlight on Disney is this year’s theme for the WCGS Fine Arts Camp. Come join us for a weeklong adventure as we turn the spotlight on the magical music and stories of Disney. Each student will receive a camp T-shirt and a daily mid-morning snack. (Please note any food allergies on the registration form.) Brochures were sent home with your child this week or can be found here or in the school office.
