Easter 2024

On behalf of our entire team here at WCGS, I want to wish you a wonderful Spring Break and a Happy Easter. We will be preparing for Holy Week with our students tomorrow in an Easter-themed chapel. Passages of Scripture from all four gospels will be read and we will share the meaning of Good Friday and the Resurrection with the students. I am praying that our community will understand the depth of the Easter celebration and the good news that we have in the sovereign plan of our Lord.

Luke 24:5b-6a – “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!”

Report Cards

Teachers have worked diligently this week to prepare your child’s report card for 3rd quarter. Much prayer, thought, and time goes into these reports. We hope that they give you a snapshot of the growth of your child over the past nine weeks, as well as the overall growth these first three quarters of the school year. Please take note of their academic progress, but also their development socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We desire to see them make gains in each of these areas as they head into the last quarter of the school year. Thank you for your continued partnership in working towards this goal; it is certainly a team effort! Third quarter report cards will be sent electronically to parents at around 3:30 pm tomorrow, Friday, March 22. Have a restful spring break!

Spotlight on Disney is this year’s theme for the WCGS Fine Arts Camp. Come join us for a weeklong adventure as we turn the spotlight on the magical music and stories of Disney. This week of camp will be filled with the characters, songs, and familiar tales from Disney’s films and stage. Your child will be able to experience artistry and creativity through engaging classes in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music. Our students will create art projects, be in dramatic skits, dance to their favorite Disney music, and sing familiar songs for the audience at the Friday night variety show. Each student will receive a camp T-shirt and a daily mid-morning snack. (Please note any food allergies on the registration form.) Brochures were sent home with your child this week or can be found here or in the school office. Camp will be held June 17-21, 2024, from 9:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. with a Variety Show on Friday, June 21, at 7:00 pm. This camp is for students entering grades 2-8 in the fall. Camp is filling up fast.
