Fathers’ Prayer Breakfast

On Saturday, March 16, we will host our next Fathers’ Prayer Breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the Commons here at school. Whether you have attended before or this is your first time, we look forward to sharing a meal, hearing a devotional, and praying together as fathers in the WCGS community. It is a rich time and one that I hope you will consider joining. We will respect your time and dismiss by 8:30 a.m. so that you can continue on with your weekend. If you can attend on March 16, please RSVP to Lauren Fortosis by Monday, March 11, to help with breakfast planning.

Traffic Cones Near Playground

As you may have noticed, starting this past Monday, we began blocking off the driving lanes closest to the playground during the majority of our school day.  This adds another measure of safety for our students during their recess times throughout the day.  When visiting the school between 9:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., if you enter from Taylor Drive, you will need to continue into the parking lot and follow it around to the front of the building.  Thank you for your continued help in prioritizing the safety of our students.

What is Your Child’s Capacity for Deep Thinking?

Are There Ways to Prepare Children to Grow in their Capacity as Efficacious Thinkers?

Join us Tuesday, March 12, from 6:30-7:45 p.m., in the Library, for the conversation on the Habits of Mind for critical thinking.  It will be a time of equipping parents to learn how to cultivate 16 habits with their children that not only help them develop knowledge, but also know how to apply knowledge, to navigate and thrive in life.  Mrs. Mandy Jasper, WCGS School Social Worker, along with Mrs. Sue Macaluso, WCGS Director of Curriculum & Instruction, are excited to lead this workshop, and partner with parents.  Secure your seat by registering here.
