Summer Camps

Wheaton Christian Grammar School hosts summer camps to help students grow even when school is out. All camps are hosted on WCGS's campus at 1N350 Taylor Drive, Winfield, IL 60190. 

Fine Arts Camp

June 17-21, 2019 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Come join us for a weeklong adventure as we turn the spotlight on the magical music and stories of Disney. This week of camp will be filled with the characters, songs, and familiar tales from Disney’s films and stage. Your child will be able to experience artistry and creativity through engaging classes in Art, Dance, Drama, and Music. Our students will create art projects, be in dramatic skits, dance to their favorite Disney music, and sing familiar songs for the audience at the Friday night variety show at 7:00 p.m.

Each student will receive a camp T-shirt and a daily midmorning snack. Please note any food allergies on the registration form.

Camp Registration Fee -$115 (if paid in full by May 2) or $130 (if paid after May 2)

A $65 non-refundable deposit (if cancelled after May 2) is needed to hold your spot. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. The camp limit is 65 students.

FLL Robotics Camp

June 10-14, 2019 | 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Get ready to grow your child’s creative problem-solving skills so they can become the critical thinkers and creators of the future! Students will be provided the exciting opportunity to design, program, and operate robots consistent with the FIRST LEGO League construct. This introductory course will allow students to build a robot and learn to program motors and sensors for different scientific challenges. Advanced Training available for those who have participated in FLL previously! Students will have the opportunity to present their robot designs and their new insights into technology before their parents and family members in an open house on June 14 at 11:00 a.m.  

The Camp Directors are Jr. High Science Teacher, STEM Coordinator, and First LEGO League (FLL) coach, Mrs. Jacqueline Lauriat and Jr. High Math Teacher and First LEGO League coach, Jen Rodriguez. Mrs. Jacqueline Lauriat is a certified EV3 instructor by Carnegie Mellon University. Camp counselors will consist of mentors and WCGS First Lego League members. WCGS FLL team has gone to State the past two years! There will be 1 Mentor assigned to each group of 4 students.

Each student will receive a camp T-shirt and a healthy daily snack. Please note any food allergies on the registration form.

Camp Registration Fee -$200 (if paid in full by May 3) or $215 (if paid after May 3)

This camp is for students entering 4th -8th grade for the 2019-2020 school year. Students from other schools are welcome.
