Wheaton Christian Grammar School offers a solid array of after-school clubs and activities. These are in addition to our athletic team opportunities and available music group participation!

INSTRUCTIONS for selecting desired CLUB(s) are as follows:

4. Select Child (Student)
5. Select desired course(s) from dropdown below each course title
6. Click SAVE.
Club fees (if applicable) are added to your school bill.
There will be no refunds for fall clubs after Friday, January 19, 2018.

This fun club will present a hands-on, interactive opportunity that captivates children’s interest in science and technology as they master the dynamics of teamwork and problem-solving. Students will build and test a robot. Please contact Mrs. Jacqueline Lauriat at if you have any questions.

Gives second graders a chance to write in a relaxed atmosphere. Students work on skills taught in the classroom and have fun at the same time.

Young Adult Battle of the Books, Grades 6-8
Practices will be Mondays and Thursday, before school from 7:45 - 8:30 a.m. and on Tuesdays after school until 4:15 p.m. Meets take place in October and November.

Battle of the Books, Grades 4-5
Practice days are flexible during lunch and after school. Practices begin the last week of September and run through the beginning of March. Meets start in January (8 total) at the Wheaton Public Library. Students will need to read as many of the 50 books as possible and at least half before they compete in a meet. Chess Team, Grades K-8, Tuesdays (3:30 - 4:30 p.m.) OR Thursdays (3:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
*USCF Ratings >600 meet Tuesday 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
The WCGS Chess Team is open to all interested players in grades K-8. No prior knowledge of chess is required but students new to chess should sign up for the “introduction to chess” class to be held on four consecutive days from Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Fee: $150 for the year (plus the cost of a team shirt). Parents should note that this commitment (and fee) is for the entire school year and as with other activities requiring fees, there will be no refund after September 15.
