Getting Involved

WCGS Auxiliary

The Wheaton Christian Grammar School Auxiliary is an organization that has faithfully served the school community for over 50 years. Its purpose, as stated in its constitution, is to "serve God by helping to meet the spiritual, social, and practical needs of the school and its families." The Auxiliary has a tradition of fulfilling this purpose with great joy.

The membership of the Auxiliary includes all school parents, faculty and staff, and their spouses. Over 80% of the school parents participate in the activities of the over 30 committees. These committees allow parents to be a part of the school in some very real and tangible ways.

The committees are divided into four areas: Spiritual, Service, Social, and Fundraising. The spiritually-oriented committees serve as the "hands and feet of Christ" by ministering to the families of WCGS in many ways. Service committees allow parents to have the opportunity to provide very important practical support to various efforts of the school. Students and parents enjoy times of fellowship and fun through the opportunities sponsored by the social committees. Fundraising committees work to provide financial support to all of the activities of the Auxiliary, as well as to the educational programs of Wheaton Christian Grammar School.

While opportunities to volunteer are available throughout the school year, the First Day Coffee (held in the gym on the morning of the first day of school) is the main volunteer recruitment event.
